Ambika Nair

Ambika Nair is the Founder-Director of Sehat+, one of Pune's most established clinical nutrition practices. With over 32 years of hands-on experience since 1994, she has personally guided more than 1 lakh patients through evidence-based nutritional programmes spanning weight management, diabetes care, bariatric surgery nutrition, transplant diets, fertility nutrition, and critical-care dietetics.

A Registered Dietitian and All India RD Topper (2009), Ambika holds an M.Sc in Foods & Nutrition, is an IDF-Certified Diabetic Educator (HOPE, UK), UGC-NET qualified, and a Gold Medalist. She is also a certified NLP Coach, REBT and EFT practitioner, and Bach Flower therapist — bringing a whole-person approach to clinical nutrition.

As a Senior Consultant at Jupiter Hospital, Pune, she has set up and managed hospital dietetic departments, designed therapeutic diet protocols for complex and critical-care patients, and trained generations of clinical dietitians. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she provided dedicated nutritional guidance to support the recovery of affected patients.

Ambika co-authored the FSSAI “Purple Book” — Diet in Diseases, a Government of India publication released at the Eat Right Mela, New Delhi (2019). She has been a long-standing health columnist and compiler for Yogya Arogya magazine, contributing 700+ articles on practical nutrition science.

She serves as Co-Convenor and RD Board representative of the Indian Dietetic Association, Pune Chapter, and as a panel advisor for leading brands including Dabur, Horlicks (HUL), Nestle, and Dr. Reddy's. Her 500+ seminars and workshops span national medical conferences (IDACON) and corporate wellness programmes for organisations like Xoriant, Sandvik Asia, and Zentest Labs; she has also taken part in international conferences such as the Asian Congress of Nutrition (Bali, 2019).
